Windmill, Oia village
Santorini Island
Greece

Description:Santorini, sometimes called by it’s ancient name, Thera, is the eastern rim of a huge caldera formed by an eruption of a volcano in 1628 BC. Some say that this eruption was the one that destroyed the legendary Atlantis. Oia is a small-whitewashed village that sits on the northern end of the island and is a popular place to watch the setting sun. This old windmill, which still turns in the gentle breeze, faced the sunset and contrasted with the clear blue sky above.
