Concierge Palace
Paris, France

Description:Located on the Ile de France not far from the Notre Dame Cathedral in central Paris, the Conciergerie was a former French royal palace built in 1300. During the French revolution the palace was converted into a prison and, in 1793, held it’s most famous prisoner, Marie Antoinette, until she was led to the guillotine on October 16th. This room, called the Hall of the Men-at-Arms, was the king’s banquet hall, had wonderfully lit Gothic arched ceilings.
