Mt Shuksan reflection, North Cascades, Washington
| Description: | Majestic glacier-clad Mt. Shuksan towers 9,131 feet in the northern cascades of Washington, just 12 miles south of the Canadian border. This photo was taken from the aptly named ‘Picture Lake” at 4,100’ near the Heather Meadows Visitor Center in Mt. Baker National Forest. Taking advantage of the clear skies, I reached the summit the following morning in perfect weather. |
