Stryn Lake and flowers, Norway
| Description: | A beautiful summer’s afternoon found me on Stryn Lake in the fjordlands of coastal Norway. This glacial lake drains into the sea via the Nordfjorden and was carved from the same ice-age glaciers that flowed westward to the ocean. Across the lake is the tiny farming community of Flo. The 6-mile long lake sits at a little over 100 feet above sea level and the mountains in the background range from 3,000 to over 5,500 feet in altitude. |
