Havasu Falls, Arizona

Description:Situated west of Grand Canyon National Park, Havasu Falls lies in the Havasupi Indian Reservation. Reached by a 8 mile trail that passes through the Indian village of Supai, the falls are laden with dissolved calcite which, as in limestone caves, is laid-down by the flowing water on the cliff face and, spectacularly, as wonderful terraces at the base of the falls. A tripod-mounted camera and time exposure softened the flowing water.
