Asleep in the Market
La Paz, Bolivia

Description:At 12,000 feet above sea level, La Paz is the highest capitol city in the world. Like many cities in the developing world, some parts have modern buildings while nearby are narrow streets filled with country-style markets. Street market vendors arrive very early in the morning to get the best spots. Here, a bowler-clad Incan Indian woman takes a mid-afternoon nap amid her colorful market produce.
