Ronge Island
Gerlache Strait
Antarctica

Description:A Calm February (mid-summer) afternoon found us cruising through the scenic Errera Channel, a narrow side passage of the Gerlache Strait off the Antarctic Peninsula. Tiny Ronge Island (5 miles long) is dominated by this 3,805’ unnamed peak. In the surrounding waters we watched humpback and minke whales spout and spyhop.
