Three Friends, Boteti Riverbed, Makgadikgadi Pans Game Reserve, Botswana
| Description: | On the western edge of Makgadigadi Pans Game Reserve, the Boteti River has been dry for years. Several man-made waterholes sustain the surprisingly abundant wildlife that congregate along the sandy riverbed, including hundreds of zebras. This trio had been nuzzling each other when I approached and I liked the evening sun highlighting their manes, showing a reddish tint: “Black and White and Red on Top”! |
